“I lost my father as a result of a brain tumor at age 56, my partner to cardiac arrest at age 30 and my mother to leukemia at age 66. And when it came to me, I said no!”

I always heard about these miracles and once I said, "You know what, this time I want to be a miracle too". I also want to be a miracle.

March 2017, we head home having received that 1st diagnosis of a lung tumor with metastasis to the brain, lymph nodes and adrenals.

So I started to think positively. I convinced myself that I would recover, that I would fall in love again, that I would smile again. I changed my diet, my habits, and my lifestyle in general. It was a sort of complementary support to the therapy.

Then came the good news. The type of tumor I had could be treated with immunotherapy. One day, when I got home, I had a CT scan and was told only the main tumor remains active. There are no more metastases. So we can do surgery on it now."

Here I am after the operation, with my daughter... once again happy... together with my friends.... I was ready to start my life over again.
