I was hiding at home, and didn’t want to talk to people about it.

For a long time Mike was afraid to talk about the scary lump he had found in his breast. When he was diagnosed with breast cancer he felt ashamed to talk about his “breasts”.

It wasn't until he found other men that went through the same challenge and they did not talk either. So he realised that many men stay quiet and this is a risk for not only their lives, but the lives of their whole families.

Today Mike spend most of his time spreading awareness around male breast cancer, and play an active part in Male Breast Cancer Coalition. For more Male Breast cancer stories, check out their website here.
