Proud to surf a big wave, but afraid to face the doctor.
— Scott Martinez

Scott thought he could avoid the doctor, to avoid cancer. Thinking long term was very hard to do when he had troubles even accepting the diagnose he was given right now. Thanks to his insisting doctor, Scott decided to freeze some of his sperms. As it turned out this was an important investment for his future.

When Scott fell in love with Mandy, 9 years after his cancer was declared cured, the discussion of starting a family started. No longer able to conceive naturally, they decided to give Scott’s frozen sperm a try. It had been frozen 16 years.

On the last attempt, the IVF worked. 9 months later, baby Coco Bea was born, 17 years after Scott’s decision to freeze his sperm.
